It started off as just your average day at William McKinley High school, at least for Kelsey it did. Morning classes were a bit of a drag since she was never fully awake for those. In all honesty Glee Club was really the only thing that got her through the day. But hey, at least she had something to motivate her. Although she did have an amazing voice, at least in her mothers eyes, it was the dancing aspect of a show choir that had initially appealed to her.
Now her she was standing just in front of their usual table with her lunch tray about to take a seat. Her mind no longer focused on Biology, the class she had just had, but ideas of what the new topic Mr. Schuester might introduce to them. Not that it was easy to try and guess the topic, at least not very often but some were rather obvious. She set her tray down across from Blaine and flashed him a small smile as she took her seat.
“Got any idea on what the new topic might be?”
Most of the morning, Blaine was stuck in a rut. Projecting his usual out-going, brilliantly bright personality came easy. Not skipping a beat or missing a smile when one fit the situation or was called for. It was how he worked, right? Today was just difficult. Keeping up with the energy that was his nature so no one would see through the cracks and worry about him wore him out by lunch. Sitting down and eating wasn’t working out as he planned though. Most of his food was untouched or barely nibbled on.
Blaine snapped to when he heard a voice and greeted Kelsey with a happy smile / wave. “Hey-hey, Kelsey. Sorry, my mind was wandering off to New York City. Saved you a seat,” he waited for her to sit and leaned in to close some of the distance by resting his weight on his forearms. Blaine laughed at the question. Pinning down Mr. Schue’s would-be topic was either easy as pie depending on what crisis him or a student was currently going through. Or a total mystery to figure out. There was no in between. “There seems to be a love triangle going on. Or three? I’m betting we have our inspiration.”
“Eesh! You’re not in one, are you? Sorry about that if you are.” Did he just have an oops moment? It was hard to keep track.
