
After their previous conversation where he told Barry the depth of his feelings–he’d put himself out on the line in hopes of hearing Barry felt the same way–Blaine was hesitant to bring up the topic again. Sure–in a roundabout way–Barry said he did. But ever since that night Barry’s roundabout way sealed Blaine’s lips on pushing what they were and who they were to each other. Now, with it being brought up by Barry and Blaine hinging on what he might say next? He couldn’t help holding his breath and wondering. Because hoping might be setting himself up for a fall and Barry for yet another awkward situation where Blaine said too much.
“Oh.. Comfortable? Why wouldn’t I be comfortable,” came his soft, breathless whisper as his eyes pinched at their corners and he swallowed deep. “Um. More than friends. I’d hope so. I mean. I don’t do the things we do with friends,” his bottom lip drew to the side as he bit the corner and shrugged. “I like your kind of messy. Your messy seems to match how messy I can be from time to time. Maybe we cancel each other out? Who knows..?.”
