How they ended up like this?  Blaine wasn’t sure he could remember gathering up the nerve to get remotely close enough to be breathing in a cologne that often left traces in the bathroom or in Puck’s wake when he rushed out the door.  The smell was something he was getting used to.  To the point that Blaine knew if or when Puck decided to stop crashing at his apartment?  He’d end up missing it when it was gone.  One second they were laughing about something Blaine’s brain lost all function of remembering the details of.  Television was involved and that was about the only step to this point Blaine might be able to piece together if asked.

Couldn’t blame him for being, well, lost and his attention solely on something else entirely.  Because here he was collapsed back onto the sofa after nudging Puck hard enough that the one he got back knocked him backwards.  Combined with his refusal to let Puck change the channel and clinging to his wrist in an attempt to wrestle the remote away resulting in bringing Puck along for the ride.  A haze drifted into his gaze, lips that were open from his chuckle remained that way.  Only his smile faded and he felt his tongue move across his bottom lip making the air that was getting increasingly hard to breath run cold over his skin.

His grip tightened enough he could feel Puck’s pulse under his fingertips, lashes lowered but did nothing to veil where his gaze had drifted off to. Puck’s mouth seemed to draw him in.  The huff of a laugh was futile.  Weak and breathless and not really a laugh at all.  So, he stopped it dead in it’s tracks by gathering some steel resolve nerve he didn’t know he had (or was fueled by the courage of two beers) and inching up until their lips barely grazed one another and he could taste Puck’s breath and skin and..oh damn it..  His gaze flicked up, he lingered close enough one flinch would let him do it again, gone but just checking if he’d just made a horrible mistake.
