GET TO KNOW THE PEOPLE IN MY MUSE’S LIFE.

🌟 …someone my muse trusts:
Blaine trusts a little too easily for his own good for most surface level ways you trust people. It’s burned him in the past.  But trust deep enough to reveal the more secret parts of himself? There are a few people who he considers to be that close with (mostly out of fear of judgement or disappointing them).  I’d say one of them is Sebastian Smythe.  Either in my Seblaine verses or just friendship wise.

More Under The Cut.

I feel that Blaine and Sebastian connect in ways that makes Blaine comfortable enough to share his darker thoughts without those fears coming into play and it’s earned him the same from Sebastian.  Oddly enough, he’s been burned twice over that trust but after Sebastian did what he could to earn it back–forgiving him because of that bond was easier than it would have been if they didn’t know those things about each other.

💩 …someone my muse dislikes, but admires:
I headcanon Blaine hasn’t always been the biggest fan of Will Schuester and it might not come close to dislike but it’s almost there on many things Will did or didn’t do (mainly how Kurt’s situation was handled and some other HCs I’ll spare for length purposes!).  But he does admire what Will built for so many kids who needed a safe place and what became of their lives because of glee club.

👻 …someone my muse considers a best friend:
This is based solely off headcanons and my take on Blaine’s relationships pre-New Directions and I wanna talk about those since it’s kind of easy to see from canon who he is closest with once those events happen.  Very condensed version here.  One of his best friends for the longest time has been Trent. Trent took to Blaine immediately when he transferred to Dalton and helped bring him out of how guarded he was at first after the Sadie Hawkins incident.  The two became very close and eventually the roles were switched where Blaine became a sort of role model for Trent. Getting him to believe in himself more, etc.  In my head, Trent lived in Lima and stayed in the dorms at Dalton.  Blaine and the boys would drive Trent home on holidays and weekends.  Trent knew Blaine’s absentee parents and would often invite him to stay the weekend.  Blaine always took him up on the offer and after the boys left, he’d stay behind and drive Trent back to Westerville, etc, giving Blaine not only a relationship with Trent but his parents as well.  Which is why Trent came to him so desperately and trusted Blaine to do something about Hunter.  I’d–also–give an arm and a leg for someone to play him!

“I’m sure they’d survive. I’m also sure if Sam WAS here he wouldn’t be any help. You two are horrible when it comes to obsessing over television && film. Blaine — I don’t think your looks are going to get you out of this one. Just because you say you’re not a television serial killer addict, doesn’t mean you’re not one. Not the kind of punishment I meant, Blaine! Really? Yeah no, course, bad time. Definitely a bad time.” Kurt scanned his eyes over Blaine’s appearance a few times before slowly making his way over to the couch by his side. Even after days of being lazy && sleepless, he still managed to be frustratingly good looking. Still, that wasn’t going to sway his decision ( okay, maybe a little ). “Okay look, because I love you too, && I am probably the best ( or dumbest ) boyfriend in the world, I’ll let you finish the two last episodes. I know I’d lose my mind if somebody cut me off before a finale. Though I stand by the fact that I’d NEVER waste that many days on a show about a serial killer. Nobody should. && Blaine? Don’t make me regret this. I’m not opposed to turning off the tv halfway through an episode.”

“Well.  It–technically–could turn into that sort of punishment and then I might be tempted to put the last two episodes on hold.  You know?  For the sake of making it up to you,” he tried to put on his best cheesy grin that always weirdly got him his way with the beautiful man sitting next to him on the couch.  Heck, he even tossed in a wiggle of his brows for sure INSINUATION to make it clear.  Granted–this was all mostly in jest.  But–give it a few minutes?  Knowing them–it might not be. Perks of being newly moved in together again?  We’ll leave it at that.  Perking up at Kurt giving in (told you it would work)–Blaine pulls the familiar and welcome weight of his fiance’ against his side and tosses both legs over the tops of Kurt’s thighs. So what if he was now pinned down?  That’s what he gets for getting close!  Remote is now tucked away into the crook of his couch pillow (after pressing play!) and Blaine’s home free in his book.  A quick kiss pressed to Kurt’s cheek finished off with a brush of his nose to follow the gesture later?  Hazel met blue green and he smiled.  “You know I love you?  I-I’ll even sit through the entire series finale of the Golden Girls again with you for this.  Whenever you want.  I promise.”

“Would people buy it if I told them I was drunk? I mean spiked eggnog is all the rage among people our age, so it could easily be a legitimate excuse. That’s not something I’d normally put up, so I could pull off the altered mind angle. I mean, if I really wanted to. But then again, it’s never been beyond me to pull off something completely stupid. I vaguely remember pole dancing in the choir room once, entirely on a dare. Or was it a bribe?”

“You know you’re one of the oddest people I know?  Not sure if I ever told you that but I think it’s time to make it official.  Odd in a good way–I mean!  I’m not sure using the excuse of underage drinking is going to make this better.  Why not just leave it as is?  You could totally try to go for the angle of them being the perverts for taking your Christmas tree in the wrong direction?

You did what?  Is that why Thad can never make eye contact with you without turning six shades of red?”

marley.

“That’s not the same and you know that. Seeing you every few months at competition isn’t the same as being able to walk to your locker to find you, and we’re still not going to let this happen without any questions.”

“We want what you want, Blaine. Everybody only wants you to be happy – but nobody gets why this is what it’s going to take. Everything seemed so fine a few weeks ago, what changed? What can we do – what will change your mind?”

“I’ll see you more than competitions.  I promise.  I know it’s not the same but–.  It’ll work.  You guys are my friends family.  Family doesn’t end with one of us being,” and the more he was trying to sway her to believe that distance between him and the people he loved at McKinley wouldn’t matter?

The more Blaine’s voice took on less of a reassuring tone and shifted towards a PLEADING one.  Because–promises like the ones he was making just didn’t work.  Did they?

He bounced on his heels–trying to hold in the outburst that he felt was on the tip of his tongue. Brows pinched together as he pressed his lips and forced himself to swallow what he really wanted to say. Instead, he coughed up a weak excuse for a response.  “Everything’s changed, Marley.  That’s the point.  None of you guys see that and I don’t expect you to understand.  I wish I could make you but I can’t.  I–Nothing will change my mind. I’m SO sorry.”

beautiful stranger.

” Someone at the bar keeps lookin’ at us dancing. ” It was an innocent comment whispered to his sister as they danced around together. Mason was maybe a drink or two in– confident enough to get his flirt on with the cutie pie who kept staring at him. Madison nodded to him and Mason just grinned and moved over to the stranger to clear his throat.

“ I see you staring at me. I see where you want to be, ” Mason said, moving to grab the other’s hand– or at least offer it to the guy at the bar. Oh god, I’m touching hands with someone seriously beautiful.

Mason’s liquid courage must’ve been in the water about two scotch and ices ago.  Blaine watching him from his spot at the bar would never have lasted as long as it did if he wasn’t feeling the warmth of alcohol in his belly and flowing through his veins to make him less self-conscious that he might be caught staring.  He was gorgeous but Blaine couldn’t tell if he was taken.  Or out with a friend? Sister maybe? They sort of resembled one another. There was hope in the fact he wasn’t being some kind of creeper slash hopeful homewrecker when the guy started towards him.

Blaine felt his face heat up.  This could go two ways. With him being told to ‘stop staring’ or–.  A hand slid into his and what he heard was the most quizzical thing ever.  Curiosity twinkled to life in hazel eyes–his smile was tugged more towards one corner as he slowly stood up from his chair.  “I–Yeah.  I was.  So much for lying that away and trying to seem less stalkerish.  But–where do you think I want to be?  I’m curious..”

skylar.

Skylar watched Blaine’s movement, noting how quickly he seemed to come up with the solution. Maybe Skylar wasn’t the only one who noticed, maybe Blaine knew it too. Which just meant that as always they were back on the same page. “A challenge?” Skylar played with the idea in his mind, the boys did always love a good challenge, having something to work towards.

Skylar nodded as Blaine suggested the showcase. It could help ease their minds, help them realize that the only members they needed were the ones they had. “I think that would be a great help. I think that all the boys need is a reminder, that with or without females, we’re still a great force.”

“I’ll put it together then.  We can start by pitching the idea to the rest of the Council and we’ll see if they’re just as on board as you are,” relief could be seen in his smile that came easier and the way he relaxed against his forearms that held him up against the desk.  “I’m pretty sure they’ll love the idea, too?  One thing that will never change about us Warblers.  We do love our Dalton performances.”

“If it helps everyone move past everything?  That’s all I can ask for.”  There was still a lingering guilt of feeling like he’d let Jane down in the back of his mind.  Mixed with the unsure feeling that he might’ve gone too far by trying to change something so important to not only them but himself, too.  In the end?  It was a rough situation for her, him and them.  They had to move on. Focus.  Or they were going to face a failure he wasn’t going to let happen.  Losing.  Unable to shake one of those feelings the hardest–Blaine bit his lip and read across Skylar’s gaze. Seeming to cave into his own internal debate–he scrunched his nose and winced at the question before it came out. “Skylar?  Can I ask you something?  Your opinion matters.  You don’t have to answer but–.  You know you guys are my priority over everything, right?  I need you guys to believe that.”

meme continuation. @cfwallflcwers

“You guys are great.  You always have been, Marley.  Each one of you has a little bit of magic inside that creates what we do.  This group make it through without me.  I promise.  Don’t cut yourselves short, okay?  It’s not like I’m gone-gone.  I’m just a couple of hours away and we can visit all the time?  Oh!  And competitions!  W-We’ll see each other there, too!”

“Listen.  I really appreciate what you’re trying to do.  But I can’t be here anymore.  I’m sorry.”
