f’ed up kissing meme.
(i rolled a dice on this and got 19. a kiss with tears!)

Lima, Ohio felt like another planet after being gone so long.  One that he expressed his doubt returning to several times since the reminder email from Rachel.  Even more than that on the short red eye they took to get here the night before.  But, Elliott–patient as ever–encouraged him that it’d be okay. Plus, it wouldn’t be the same for his friends if he wasn’t there.  Excuses about school didn’t really make sense when it was Thanksgiving break.  And they all promised one another they’d make it this time.

Blaine wasn’t embarrased by their relationship.  He wasn’t ashamed or purposefully hiding it.  Everyone knew that he and Elliott were together but the past couple years had put a small distance between the people from Ohio and his life in New York City.  NYU, Elliott, fitting in whatever work he could score that would count for credit.  Life was busy. Maybe a part of it was out of sight, out of mind.  His phone just didn’t ring or go off from former 419 and 567 area codes the way it used to.  He’d moved on, built a new life..  Like everyone did.

Thing was?  That all worked in theory.  When it came to one person who had yet to be around him when he was with someone else.  Years should have made it easy for them to talk–it did but it didn’t.  Things shouldn’t have been as awkward as they were–but they were.  Seeing that one person not being able to meet his eyes when Elliott’s arm was around him?  Was it that?  Or the strange way they said goodbye for the night that had him gripping the lip of his old bedroom dresser a little too tight once it was over?  Who knows?

“Sorry, it’s silly.  Just felt,” he made a blanching noise and stuck out his tongue instead of put what he felt to words trying to joke and failing, “seeing him feeling awkward, you know?”  Red rimmed hazel eyes met Elliott’s in the mirror’s reflection before he turned and peppered his lips with kiss after kiss.  “It’ll be better tomorrow, right?”

FIFTY WAYS TO KISS SOMEONE.
ROLL: 32,

…to wake yours up.

Blaine’s fingers lightly toyed with a strand of dark hair on the side of Elliott’s head as he laid in bed beside his softly breathing boyfriend.  Waking up less than ten minutes ago to the sight of snow falling heavily outside the window–he checked his phone and just as he guessed?  School was cancelled for the day due to the weather.  An email would be sent later to confirm what was happening the next morning.  Nowhere to go.   No rush to be in?

Suddenly, with a free schedule and a freaking blizzard outside?  Lounging inside the warm blankets snuggled up to an even warmer Elliott was the best idea ever.  Not wanting him to miss the flurry of snow (and admittedly, the house was too quiet with him asleep..plus..since it was Elliott’s usual day off..they had all the time in the world..some kisses would be a great way to start it?), Blaine scooted back down until his nose touched Elliott’s.  Stealing another minute or two to admire him from this angle, he gently let the cool silken strand slip from his fingertip and rested his palm on the other’s cheek instead.

Blaine kissed him not once but twice before whispering with a grin as one blue eye cracked open, “Good morning, handsome.  Guess what?  School’s been cancelled.”

(roll, 2: a forehead kiss)

Blaine walked barefoot out of the bedroom having changed into a loose fitting pair of pajama bottoms and a t-shirt and hair already twisting into loose curls from his shower to find Elliott in the living room on the sofa.  “Hey, Happy Valentine’s Night,” he hummed over to him with a smile pausing by the mantle to light the vanilla and amber candles he’d picked up from the market earlier that week and saved them until today.  “What do you want to watch?  You pick while I make us some popcorn.”

Dark eyebrows jerked up.  “Deal?”

Setting down the long stemmed candle lighter–he turned enough to give his boyfriend a content smile before walking to stand beside the couch.  “Today was great, by the way.  Thank you.  I can’t wait to do that again next year.  Only I’m spoiling you much worse.  Better be prepared.”  Hesitating for just a moment, Blane bent down and pressed a kiss to Elliott’s forehead.  Gentle and light.  Perhaps a little too careful for such a small gesture.

Then again?  For the past couple weeks since what happened in the bathroom?  Blaine was cautious as to not cross any boundaries out of the respect and the feelings he had for the man he smiled down at before softly squeezing his shoulder and righting himself.  “If only Valentine’s lasted longer.  It goes too fast.”  His thumb made a circle against Elliott’s shoulder before he retracted his hand and thumbed towards the kitchen.  “I’ll be right back.”
