Kass cocked her head to the side. “Depends. What’s the other choice?” She asked, her green eyes meeting his. “Because you know I’d wear almost anything. Including that. But I also have some sense of fashion….”

The back of his head came to rest on her chest as she towered over him still.  A comfy place to be but she had to be getting a crook in her back by now from hunching down towards his chair to keep hugging him??  Maybe not!  Hey, it was her choice to keep standing that way!  Who was he to turn a hug down anyway?  Definitely not.

Called out on his bluff with a second option for her to get out of losing the bet (he hadn’t thought that far ahead), Blaine paused and hummed dramatically.  “Oh! I’m not sure.  Give me a second to think of something.  Because that’s a really hideous dress and seeing you in it was the sole purpose of cheating on the bet anyway.”  A blink, he cringed inwardly.  “I–ah–you did remember I was already here..  Didn’t you?”  Way to let that slip if she forgot!  Great job, Blaine!

Kassandra groaned and glared as she looked at her best friend. “Blaine, if I wanted to be tortured, I’d rehearse without stretching. Or eat from that sushi place on Twelfth. Although being friends with you is pretty bad too.” Her glare broke and she started laughing hysterically, earning a few looks from other patrons. “God, that’s awful!” She said, wrapping her arms around him.

Blaine’s hands gently clasped over the tops of Kassandra’s wrists as he rested the back of his head against her chest.  A bright smile and a set of joyfilled hazel eyes glanced up at her as he to recover from his own outburst of laughter that echoed her loud one. “I wasn’t going to pick out something that you were going to want to wear.  That kind of defeats the purpose of picking a price for you if you lost the bet.  Which you did.  So that means… The Cyndi Lauper look is your new style.  At least for a day.”  Drawing her right hand up, he pressed a quick smooch against the top before settling it back against the other happy to keep holding both as he teased her. “Let me guess?  You want a way out?”  Who wouldn’t?  That outfit was atrocious!  No one in their right mind would turn down a way to sneak out of the deal.

“I could be swayed..  It’s going to cost you, though..”  Her choice!  God-awful outfit?  Or unknown means of escaping her fate?  Up to you, Kassandra!

“Listen.  I didn’t know you were going to end up going full on gross after I suggested that place.  Or I wouldn’t have suggested it.  You love being friends with me.  Put through sushi hell for my sake or not,” he beamed up at her still always feeling a little guilty for what his lunch idea did to her.  Even if it was months ago.  But his ear to ear grin came back as soon as she checked out his pick for her to wear since he’d won their little bet.

“I know it’s awful.  That’s the point.  I wasn’t going to pick the latest Burberry look if I wanted to make you suffer.”  His fingers clasped over where both of her wrists touched each other against his chest.  Looking back up at her with a sly smirk, he shrugged with a ‘heavy’ sigh.  “I mean. You can back out if your honor means nothing to you.  I completely understand.”

TEXT-Blainers: You’re a horrible person and I love you, Anderson.
TEXT-Blainers: Be there in five.❤

( mssg » kassandra | sent ) I’m wounded by that accusation, Miss Kassandra.

You’re lucky I love you back.
( mssg » kassandra | sent ) See you when you get here!

Blaine sat back in his chair with the same goofy grin he had since the first text was sent to the redhead.  Hey!  Pulling Kassandra’s leg was currently his way of passing some time between classes–and he was thoroughly enjoying himself.  Bright dresses of every style ran up his screen as he scrolled through them trying to find one just on the gaudy side of holy hell why would they ever think that was fashion to further torture her with the threat of buying once she got here.  As fate would have it?  A movement from his side signaled her arrival and before she had the chance to properly greet him?  His phone was lifted up and held near eye level.  On it? A trainwreck of neon, bows and polka dots on his screen for Kass to see. “I don’t know. But I think I found your new look?”  And then there was nothing but devilish laughter.

TEXT-Blainers: Spring. Bright colors make my red hair pop.
TEXT-Blainers: Well. More than normal….

( mssg » kassandra | sent ) I was going to say, you don’t need any help in the hair department.  In a great way, I mean.
( mssg » kassandra | sent ) Bright colors that go with red hair.  Got it.  I’ll start browsing on my phone until you get here.  Cause, I didn’t start this bet until I was already grabbing a booth.  😇

send me ☺ for a loving/affectionate text

( mssg » kassandra | sent ) Dear Kassandra.  You are lovely, sweet, kind and one of the most talented people I have ever met.  I don’t know what New York City would be like without you here.  That’s how much I adore you.
( mssg » kassandra | sent ) On a completely different note?  I promise it has nothing to do with those compliments at all.  Did you take notes in music theory today?  I might’ve been so dosed up on cold medicine that I forgot.
( mssg » kassandra | sent ) Love, Blaine.

TEXT-Blainers: Blaine Devon Anderson. I swear. If you cheated and are already there with my coffee, I’ll….
TEXT-Blainers: Love you forever, tbh. You know my order.

( mssg » kassandra | sent ) Guess you’ll find out when you make it to the coffee shop.  Either way?  You get coffee out of the ordeal.
( mssg » kassandra | sent ) Just so I know?  If I do win this bet?  Would you prefer a spring-ish or winter-ish look?  We’re sort of in between styles this time of year.  As a gentleman, I’ll let you pick one or the other.
