      “I mean..  Do you need something to eat?  A coffee? I can pick something up for you,” Blaine grinned and nudged the strap of his satchel higher on his shoulder.  The poor thing must be stressed out if his offer swooped over her head as easily as it did.  “My patience is easy.  I can’t imagine the pressure you guys are under.  Please don’t worry about my time.  I’ve got nowhere to be and you don’t need something else on your plate to fret over, okay?  We’ll make sure whatever you need to get done gets done and that’s that.  Got it?”

         “B L A I N E, wait up. shouldering her backpack, she’s
picking up her pace to fall in line next to the other. —— do you mind dropping by the auditorium
during lunch? we need to set a couple
more lights, and we need your blocking for
your performance to do that.

      Blaine shoved what books he needed for the rest of day into his bag and twisted the dial on his locker.  About to start digging through one of the front pockets for his phone–his attention snapped up right as he heard his voice. A friendly smile followed a blink later.  “Micaela!  Hey,” fingers lifted for a little wave then curled around the strap of his satchel, “Sure.  That’d be great. Lunch it is!  Do you want me to bring you anything if you’re planning on working through it?”
