         text — blaine ; Noted. 😇
text — blaine ; It’s certainly a nice and welcoming change from your typical high school make out session behind the bleachers.
text — blaine ; And definitely a lot more exciting compared to inside the bedroom.
text — blaine ; Even though that’s definitely, too, still very much on the table.
text — blaine ; Just maybe not so much as an extracurricular.
text — blaine ; I should probably stop texting.

( mssg » kurt | sent ) Thank you for clearing that up.  I was already trying to pull together a list of not so boring places for impromptu makeout sessions in my head if those aren’t your forte.
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Oh and..!  I thought you liked my bedroom!  That went through my head too. But now that that’s settled?
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Yes.  We should probably stop texting and start finding ways to bid these guys adieu.  Who should make the “we forgot we have a duet that we should work on” pitch? You or me?

          text — blaine ; I’m glad we’re on the same page. 😘
text — blaine ; I totally would have asked you face to face but… I kind of figured at least one other person would somehow be listening in on our conversation.
text — blaine ; Kind of makes it more fun if it’s a secret.

( mssg » kurt | sent ) I don’t think there’s ever going to be a day where I won’t be on the same page with you as far as that’s concerned.
( mssg » kurt | sent ) I like keeping it secret.  Besides.  If they figure out our spot?  Then there might be an awkward time where we end up walking in on something I’d rather not have to try to forget.
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Let’s go.  I really want to kiss you until we’re both dizzy.  Right.  Now.

kelsey.

“that would be nice.” kelsey admitted softly as she followed blaine’s lead over to the garbage can instinctively dropping the remaining trash from her lunch into the can before taking those few steps back to the table to grab her backpack and toss it over her right shoulder while doing her best to keep eye contact with the other teen to show she was still engaged in their conversation.

after all, the biggest reason kelsey had joined the glee club – aside from actually finding some enjoyment in singing and dancing – was to make friends and feel that sense of belonging. glee club had its up and downs like any family. but at the end of the day it was exactly everything she wanted socially. at the end of the day they always had each other’s backs because that’s what a family does, they stand up for each other even if they’re fighting themselves. and since the only family she had was her mother this experience was all that more important to the teenager. even thought she’d probably never dare to admit such a thing.

“nah i’m TOTALLY up for that.” even if it might be a little embarrassing, it didn’t take much for kelsey to get embarrassed but she would get over that. she always did. “so, you have any ideas on a song that will appeal to their inner sappy selves – just in case? or are we gonna like wing that part?” because that would be a little difficult to just come up with on the spot… plus she really needed to learn more songs for when they all randomly broke out into song so she didn’t have to pretend like she knew ALL the notes and words.

Linking arms with her, Blaine mosied along the path out of the lunchroom and decided that instead of catching up with the others?  They could head to the auditorium to discuss their taking over the glee club plan in more detail.  Students ambled past them but Blaine’s attention was all on Kelsey while his brain tried to come up with the best plan possible.  A songtervention.

Not just to make sure they didn’t suffer and inevitable defeat.  But because he wasn’t sure how much more bickering he could take before shooting off something he shouldn’t say (and would later regret) to the next person who threw a fit.  Er.  Wouldn’t that be throwing a fit too?  A fit to end a fit?  Yeah, it’d work but he didn’t want to cause more drama on top of the already there drama that he and Kelsey were trying to dissipate.

“Great!  Glad to see you’re willing to give it a shot.  Either it’ll work..or not and we’ll get told to shut up but that’s not going to stop me from trying.”  Squinting thoughtfully and humming as his head bobbed from side to side, a thoughtful pout jutted out his bottom lip as he internally debated song choices.  “Depends.  What are you in the mood for and who do you know best?” Suddenly, it struck him he didn’t know what she would or wouldn’t know.  Yeah, they definitely needed some auditorium time to figure this out.  Winging it might be a disaster.

text — blaine ; How much would it kill you if I requested to reschedule today’s vigorous make out session?
text — blaine ; You looked so… cute singing that song back in the choir room it kind of makes me want to get all kinds of frisky in the auditorium.

( mssg » kurt | sent ) It depends on what kind of reschedule we’re talking about..
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Oh??  Oh!!  Okay!  All kinds of frisky in the auditorium, huh?  I happen to love Frisky Kurt.  That sort of time bump is definitely not remotely in the ‘kill me’ category.
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Consider that a million times yes, Mister Hummel.  Shall we?

queen t.

( mssg » blaine | sent ) I thought you’d never ask!
( mssg » blaine | sent ) I have 0 plans. Even if I did, I’d probably cancel them, let’s be real.
( mssg » blaine | sent ) What did you have in mind?!

( mssg » queen t. | sent ) You would?  Awww, T!  What did I do to deserve you?
( mssg » queen t. | sent ) A few things, actually!
( mssg » queen t. | sent ) Dinner?  A show?  Go on a drive up to the lake?  Combination of all the above?  Thoughts?  Ideas?

( mssg » queen t. | sent ) Hello, lady!  Good morning!  Listen.  It’s a beautiful day, there’s no school and it’d be a shame to let it go to waste.
( mssg » queen t. | sent ) I’m thinking I could use a some serious Tina Time.
( mssg » queen t. | sent ) Do you have any plans?  If not..?  Care to make a few with me?

Since that awkward moment when she was drunk and kissed the guy, Rachel had felt a connection to Blaine Anderson. At first, she thought he might have feelings for her, but what drug was she on? The way everyone else saw it, especially Kurt, he was gay. Still, she thought that maybe, just possibly he could find her attractive. Besides, at the time, he didn’t really “come out”, so how was she supposed to know what he liked?

Besides Finn, Rachel had never really met anyone else who could keep up with her vocally like Blaine. His talent was rare. He could sing and dance like a god and when he spoke, you couldn’t help but to listen. It was so inspiring to see that much of a gift inside someone besides herself. Now Rachel didn’t think she was the best dancer, but she was definitely better than some of the other Glee club members and sadly, her own boyfriend was on that list as well.

Besides being a dynamite performer, there were other qualities that Rachel found admirable in the male. He was a kind soul and had an infectious laugh that you couldn’t stop yourself from laughing with him. He was a wonderful friend to have in your corner and was there for you when you needed a push to go on.

Standing at her locker, she brushed through her hair in between classes, getting her books for the one she had next. She looked over, flashing a smile in Blaine’s direction before skipping over to talk. “We should do something fun tonight. Don’t worry, no more drunken make out sessions. Movie marathon?” She clapped her hands. “Or karaoke!” Laughing from her own enthusiasm, she linked her arm with his, a sigh passing through her lips. “I just need a break. This whole NYADA thing is really getting me down. I can’t believe I messed up that song.” She frowned. She knew that Blaine would make her feel better. He had a way of doing that when she was sad.

Blaine checked his reflection in the tiny mirror stick to the inside of his locker. After a gym shower, one had to be a little cautious of hairgel not really going as planned until it stuck.  Walking around school with hair going every which way would be a disaster.  Thankfully, everything was neatly in place and he could stop worrying about it.  Grabbing out two books and stuffing them in his bag, he gave the door a nudge with his shoulder and listened to it latch closed.

A twist of the lock and he was about to be on his way to search for Kurt.  Their skip study hall and use glee club practice as an excuse for a 1:30 kissing session in a dark auditorium Bucket List check off was the number one reason why Blaine had a particular skip to his step all day. About to was the key phrase..

Rachel caught his attention with a smile and a skip over.

A flood of suggestions for how they should spend their night left Blaine with an ear to ear grin and his shoulders shaking in huffs of a chuckle.  “Rachel.  Hi!  You look better today..–”   Blaine paused almost en route to give her arm a squeeze as she linked it with his.  He knew she was going through a rough time since she choked on her audition.

Okay.  Rough time didn’t cover what his friend was suffering through.  Her dreams were ruined (or so she thought because Blaine knew she would come out of this the star he knew she would be and overcome this roadblock if she would let herself believe in her as much as he did) and she was devastated.  But today there was a light in her eyes he sorely missed and he wasn’t going to blow her off when she seemed to be on the up and up.

“I tell you what?  How about a karaoke movie marathon?  We could combine the two,” he grazed past any mention of NYADA not wanting her to focus on that again but the night ahead. “We can pick out a few musicals and turn your basement into a theater?  You, Kurt, me?  I’ll order us dinner and have it delivered?  What do you think?  I know he’d love it.”

Sebastian’s night was definitely taking a turn for the better as he slipped his phone into his back pocket. He’d been waiting for his chance to lure Blaine away from gay-face and it seemed like tonight was his lucky night. He’d always believed that Blaine was far too good for the likes of Hummel, and it was only a matter of time before Blaine realised that for himself.

He raised his hand to get the attention of the bar tender, ordering himself another drink and something extra strong for Blaine – he’d need it today if things had been as bad as he’d said – then gave him an extra generous tip on the basis that he wouldn’t allow their glasses to run dry all evening. Then he waited, turning around slightly in his seat and scoping out the rest of the bar, none of them could even compete with the likes of Blaine, he wasn’t sure why he was even wasting his time with them, but he had to find something to occupy his time.

Blaine stared at the last message on his phone before taking a deep breath and tucking it in his back pocket.  The clock above the kitchen stove read 10:46.  With how awake he was, sleep wasn’t going to be an option and Sebastian offered a means of coping with the quiet in his house by simply not being there.  His fist closed around his keys and he left the lights glowing in the empty house fading away in his rearview mirror.

Scandals wasn’t a place he went to often.  His first visit didn’t end well.  A beer and a mistake he wished he never made had Blaine deciding that bars were probably not his thing. Yet, here he was.  Squeezing his cellphone like it was the edge of a security blanket and wandering through the crowd until he saw Sebastian.  Waving to get his attention, the former Warbler stepped past the jukebox and bellied up to the bar beside the taller boy.  “Sebastian.  Hello.”  Noticing him right away, the drink Sebastian ordered slid across the bar with a wink from the bartender. Blaine blinked down at it.  “Oh, wow.  ..Um..  Thanks. That was fast.  Did you pay this guy off or what,” he tried to lift his voice and playfully jab at his friend like there wasn’t a single weight on his shoulders.

Hands resting underneath his pillow and quietly listening in on the sound of Blaine’s gentle breaths, piercing blue eyes couldn’t help but stare at the sight of his naked boyfriend still soundly asleep beside him; the previous night’s events playing over and over in the back of his mind and lips curled up into an all too adoring smile as he lay, comfortably awake on his side of the bed and with not one ounce of regret about leaping headfirst into previously banned territory. Opening night had turned out to be even better than either of them could have anticipated. The decision to go to Blaine’s house, while admittedly bold and definitely something far beyond his comfort zone at the time, providing the perfect ending to a successful first glee club performance and all things Scandals and Sebastian forgotten as they had spent their first of hopefully many more together.

“Good morning,” he uttered, breaking the silence in an almost whisper; butterflies causing a significant uproar deeply within his chest as hazel eyes finally stared back at him.

Even as they slept, Blaine seemed to seek out the warmth of Kurt’s body.  Bare toes touched the edge of a slender calf.  More than once his knee snuck over to connect with Kurt’s. Though most of the night his arms wouldn’t rest until one or both were pulling his boyfriend close enough that he could press his cheek to bare skin and be lulled in and out of dreams with the rise and fall of Kurt’s chest.  It wasn’t until morning seeped in through the windows and caused the pale boy beside him to stir that Blaine finally separated from him and continued to drift in slumber unaware of being watched now that Kurt was awake.  Curls long fallen from last nights activities stuck to his forehead, eyelashes fluttered.  The weight of Kurt’s stare called to him in dreams–Blaine woke up face to face, eye to eye with the most beautiful sight he ever saw. Kurt. His Kurt and a myriad of blue green greeting him.  All at once last night came rushing back, his chest grew warm and his smile was utterly blissful when he took hold of Kurt’s forearm and settled in close enough that their foreheads touched.

“Good morning,” Blaine whispered back and his leg tangled between both of Kurt’s.  “Did you sleep okay?  How long have you been up?”  Voice hushed in tone, groggy with sleep but so so so content.

finn.

head bowed as he turned his gaze to the floor between his feet, a heavy sigh tumbling past his lips. his intention was not to make his friends worry – but it did ease his anxious mind a little, knowing he could confide in someone like Blaine. He’d never been good at seeing himself the way others did – there was too much DOUBT . his friends always brought him back.

His head lifted as Blaine’s voice filled his ears, casting a glance at him. He knew then, he wasn’t the only one struggling and he wouldn’t be. there would loads of other seniors or young adults wallowing in their self-doubt, experiencing some sort of existential crisis the way they were. he understood all too well where Blaine was coming from. But still ! Blaine was incredibly talented, much of the same caliber as  Kurt and Rachel, he could easily have gotten into any school in New York or where ever it was performers went. He was amazing. He was BLAINE ANDERSON. there wasn’t any other like him – not even close. Finn didn’t know where he was headed after school, whether it to be to New York or to the army, or to college – but they still had time. Time to make memories, make school worth remembering . his lips tugged into a faint, lop-sided grin as he glanced at Blaine again. “ I know, man. it feels rough, but  YOU STILL GOT ME, I’m not goin’ anywhere anytime soon. “

When Finn met his gaze, Blaine smiled at the victory.  Seeing Finn no longer staring at the floor while his mind sank into an abyss of self-doubt and worry warmed his heart and filled him with a sense of relief.  Finn was such an amazing person.  Such a good brother and endearing friend who TRULY cared about the people in his life.  He deserved to have someone listen.  Someone tell him he was going to be okay. Besides, Blaine actually believed Finn would be.  There were plenty of people there to catch him if he fell.  Blaine would know, he was one of them.

Hearing Finn coming around, Blaine felt a little guilty for confessing his own worries.  Less than he did at first but it was still there as a caution not to bring them both down again by saying too much.  Like how Finn couldn’t promise that when Blaine had just been thinking that Finn was going to be just fine and get out of this town like everyone else wanted to.  Whether or not it was to college wherever.  New York or here.  Finn would be gone, too.  Still, it was a sweet thing to say and Blaine wasn’t going to turn the attempt to comfort him.  “Thank you, Finn.  I know.  I just love him so much.  It won’t be the same without him, which means..  We just gotta make the best out of whatever time we have together, huh? How about we start now,” he brushed his hands together, leaving his worries about Kurt at a minimum and stood up nodding at the exit of the choir room.  “I’ll buy dinner if you promise that after? There’s a Star Wars marathon with massive amounts ice cream for dessert?”
